Africa Wildlife
Fauna of Africa, in its broader sense, is all the animals living in Africa and its surrounding seas and islands. Lying almost entirely within the tropics, and equally to north and south of the equator creates favourable conditions for rich wildlife.
Africa is home to certain species that are facing extinction, including mountain gorillas and Grevy zebras. By putting safeguards in place like training rangers, using sniffer dogs, and empowering communities, we’re helping to ensure all of African wildlife survives.
Critical to protecting African wildlife are the local people. Sharing the land, often alongside each other, can lead to struggles for resources and deforestation.
