Monster Project


My monster, Polly, is a beast from Jupiter. She arrived here in 2001 on an asteroid. Here are directions to draw her.

Polly's green head is 1' inch from the top of the page. It is 4 by 2 ' in, vertical by horizontal. It is a rectangle with rounded corners. On top of her head, there are two green vertical knobs. Each is one cm from the side of her head, and they look like doorknobs. Each knob is one cm high, and at the widest part is 1 cm wide. At the thinnest part, Polly's knobs are 3 mm wide. Directly below each knob, I inch from the top of her head, are two 
1cm long, yellow, horizontal, lines. 3 mm from each side of each yellow line, there are two red, 4mm wide, and 3mm tall, semi-circles. Draw a horizontal 1cm long line in between the yellow lines, 5' cm from the top of Polly's head. Coming out from both ends of the line are 2 diagonal lines, going up and sloping outwards, each about 1 cm long. Now draw two diagonal lines, going down from the tips of he lines you just drew. Make hem the same size, but not so steep they should meet at their tips, about two mm above the center of the original, horizontal line. Make the mirror image of this shape on the bottom of your first line. Color the finished symmetrical design yellow. Now draw a red, three by two cm semi-oval with the rounded part up, exactly 1' cm below the yellow design. The red semi-oval should have a yellow five by three mm tooth hanging from the top of the semi-circle.

Out of the bottom of the head are two not quite vertical lines. Each is about 1' cm long. At the tip of each of these are four cm long vertical lines. These are joined at their tips by a four cm long horizontal line! Color the shape you have just made green. Where your almost vertical lines meet your vertical lines, draw a yellow three by twenty mm horizontal rectangle. At the end of this rectangle draw three 1 cm long red lines. Repeat this on the other side of Polly's body. At the bottom of Polly's body, are two, yellow three by twenty-five mm vertical rectangles. Each rectangle is 1 cm from the edge of the body., and have three 1cm long red lines, their ends, just like the arms.
